Halloween Faves For Your Little Gobblins

October has to be one of my favorite months! Ok, so it may have a little something to do with the fact that myself, my husband and my little girl are all October babies but we really take it seriously around here! I love the spooky yet fun decor and all the cuties knocking on our door for candy in their fabulous costumes as well as the anticipation of the holidays to follow. It is almost as though after the Halloween hump we are quickly gobbling down turkey and decorating for Christmas! In the meantime, I will soak in some more Halloween by heading to La Plaza Mall and scooping up these last minute faves for my little one and the best thing...they are ALL ON SALE! YAY! Enjoy friends.

For Him
Little Devil -  Baby Gap
Devils can be scary, but your cutie will look crazy adorable in this onesie!

Glow in the Dark Jammies – JC Penney
What better way to tuck your little man in than with these glow in the dark PJ's

Carter’s Black Cat Hat – Dillard’s $5
This is actually a gender neutral little hat that can spruce up any white basic tee or onesie.

For Her

Pumpkin Sweater Cardigan – Janie and Jack
This little cardi is perfect for the season with the daintiest little pumpkins embroidered around the collar. Such a classic piece that can be matched with this…

Ruffle Tulle Skirt – Janie and Jack
You can also save this adorable skirt and wear it for Thanksgiving dinner.

Daddy Is Under My Spell – Dillard's
Yes, yes you are under daddy's spell and that's why we're heading to the mall to go buy this ASAP! This is the cutest thing and I love that Carter's is very inexpensive.

Hello Kitty Kids T-Shirt & Tutu – Macy's
Because WE ALL LOVE a Hello Kitty, or is it just me!? I have been in love with Hello Kitty since I was a tiny little thing and I think my little girl is down the same path (no pressure) ;) and who can resist a little girl in a tutu!?

Falling for Flats...

I am definitely falling for flats this Fall! I may be bias because I am pregnant and they just seem to be way more comfy, however, the cutest styles have come out and I am digging these below...

1.) Guess – Fetoni Quilted Ballet Flats, $60
I've seen quilted done in clothing and of course the infamous Chanel purse, but I had yet to see the trend move down to shoes until I came across these cute ballet flats and the oxblood color is a HUGE hit for Fall.

2.) Steve Madden – Zunni, $90
I honestly can't get enough of leopard, my mother always told me that it will forever be a classic print, so in my mind...it's basically a neutral!

3.) Journey's Tuk Kitty Face Flat, $60 (black and mint)
These flats are just fun!

4.) Francesca's– Ringo Oxford Flat in Cognac, $38
A classic oxford flat is a wardrobe essential. I would pair these with a short dress and blazer, or cut off shorts since it's still warm out with a plaid top.

5.) Pac Sun, $39
Love these loafers and the delicate metal detail for the extra jazz. I would love to wear these with rolled up boyfriend jeans and a white button down for a classic look

6.) Joe Brand - Tory Burch, $225
These ballet flats were one of my wardrobe staples when I was pregnant with my first baby. I purchased a couple of these Tory flats because they're comfy and definitely stylish. The new style comes in beautiful jewel tone colors!

Baby on Board and Invitro Fertilization Recap!

Ok, so we all know by now that we're expecting baby #2 and that this miracle baby on the way is A GIRL! Miracle baby? Yes, for those who had no idea we conceived little Mia by invitro fertilization. We are so thankful that a procedure such as IVF is available not only for myself but for those who have trouble conceiving naturally. The process is no joke and very tedious..the medicine, the shots every day, the shots during every check up, it was borderline brutal the first couple of months. There were times when I just wanted to throw in the towel but through the support of my loving husband we knew that the end result (praying that it was successful) would be a beautiful baby girl. We were so blessed that the staff at Dr. Brown's office in McAllen was SO SO kind and sweet and I literally had the best experience every time I stepped foot into the office. A question I get often is.. "did it work on the first round of IVF?" Yes and no. I did one whole round of shots and RIGHT BEFORE retrieval, I was told that I had what you call ovarian hyper stimulation, in a nutshell I produced way too many eggs that the quality of them would not have been so great, so we had to STOP the process. I WAS DEVASTATED! I cried my eyes out for a couple of days thinking of all the shots and meds that I would inject into myself every day and started to feel sorry for myself, but again I knew I had to suck it up and try again! So the reason I say that YES, it did work the first time around is because we did NOT actually do the egg retrieval AND do the transfer until the second time. The egg retrieval was a breeze as well as the transfer (i'm trying to skip over the dreaded FULL round of shots that I had to do AGAIN) lol...being able to joke about it now cause at the moment...it was no bueno. How crazy also, that we were able to CHOOSE the sex of the baby? For some, it may not seem so ethical, but when you're in the position of having to go through semi-hell of having to conceive and not wanting to do it but ONCE...it's a blessing that science is at an all-time high and allows those who want to gender select, the opportunity to do so. So we chose a GIRL...we had 12 girls and 7 little boys to choose from and before the transfer Dr. Brown and the embryologist came in with a sheet of pictures of all the little embryos numbered. I had chosen #12, that was one of my fave numbers (my real one is 23) and the embryologist said...if you don't mind my opinion but #10 is the perfect embryo. I mean, how can you go against THE DOCTOR who helped make this happen..so #10 it was. Everyone at the office would call her the Perfect 10..and indeed, that is exactly what she is...PERFECT and born exactly a week after my birthday...ON THE 23rd!!! So that's my 1st baby story in a nutshell...so baby #2...is a NATURALLY conceived baby. I mean..how does this even HAPPEN!? When science tells you "you can NEVER naturally conceive a child" MY GOD SAYS YOU CAN! You can imagine the SHOCK on our faces. My husband must have been in a state of confusion, shock and HOLY CRAP for like two weeks LOL. Baby #2 will be born sometime in April and we are over the moon! P.S. Rigo feels like he WON THE LOTTERY, he wanted another girl SO BAD! LOL I hope to keep ya'll posted throughout the pregnancy and hope you follow along!

Dr. Vela's office called with the sex of the baby and I immediately said CALL MY MOM! I always saw pictures of gender reveal parties and the anticipation DID kill me but I knew it was something I wanted to do, being that we weren't able to do this the first time. So in a matter of HOURS my mother planned a quick party for our family to come over and reveal the sex by everyone taking a bite out of the cupcake at the same time and the frosting inside was PINK! I will NEVER forget this moment...priceless. P.S...this is super hilarious...my husband is on a diet and kept taking bites of the cupcake, I figured this was the one day he would cheat on his diet..and afterwards he said I kept eating the cupcake looking for a baby...and i said WTF do you mean a baby? He said "yes, I was looking for a little "monito" inside LMAO..I was like OMG babe..this isn't ROSCA DE REYES...he's SO MEXICAN!

12 Weeks 4 Days...

My husband attempted to zip up 3 different dresses, was probably forced to tell me I looked great in one of them (God knows I wouldn't have walked out of the house in it), and finally I had to resort to a rubberband..yes a rubberband to ghetto rig my shorts to stay buttoned! LoL OoOh the joys of pregnancy and to add insult to injury it was 93 degrees today and I had to head to a baby shower so this is what I wore...

I will say that it was a tough 3 months and this pregnancy has been nothing like my first (so far), however the sickness is GONE and I am just battling with the last few days of my cold and cough that I have had for about two weeks. My goodness, I just want to catch a break and feel 100%! ANYWAYS..more about the pregnancy later on here's a few pictures to catch us up!
